Welcome to the Rochester Corvette Club
The Rochester Corvette Club has been continuously active since it was founded in 1959. We are among the oldest Corvette Clubs in the United States. A social club with over 550 members, we offer something for everyone.
The February meeting was a very productive one that visited many agenda items. We as a group, paid our respects and gave our condolences with a moment of silence to Gail Dentinger, the children and family, on the passing of her husband Paul. I offered her the club’s assistance whenever she might need it, now and in the future. Paul will be missed by the membership.
Bob Harder and I presented a donation check to Nigel Heaton in the amount of $5,629.36 for the Patriot Guard Riders for the year 2016. In a letter, Pastor David Gerhardt thanked the club for its 2017 donation to Trinity Emmanuel Lutheran Church for the use of TELC for our monthly meetings. We have a healthy treasury. Thank you! Jim Boshears for your work. Along those lines of thinking, the Executive Committee created and voted on a bylaw change to add a Treasury Co-Chair to the position, thanks to Karen and Don Coast. I also want to thank Glenn Williams for once again stepping up to accept the duties as Co-Treasurer.
Our Vice President Dave Fournigault gave an update on the Memorial Day Veterans Celebration which should be a rousing day. We will honor those men and women who served in the field of battle. Just picture a parade around the warning track at Frontier Field, Fourteen Corvettes each class represented by two cars, two service vets from each branch of the military. They will be lead in by two Patriot Guard Riders and trailed by two Patriot Guard Riders to wrap it up! Thrilling+```! The Bowling night was a hit - nine members participated and bowled three games each. We will repeat this event later this year.
There are just 14 spots left for the Breakout Cruise to Tillman’s with a max out at 50 persons. We have 50 days left to sign up and pay for the Star Cruise. Rooms selection and Money must be paid by 4/23/17 (99.00 p/r) contact@ www.hotelplanner.com/EventPage3450774
Jim Hill will again host a Day of Caring on May 11. Ted Voll did the 50/50 for our charity for over $400 the winner being our treasurer Jim Boshears congratulations! We also had a very successful auction to support the ALS foundation. Finally, the trip to Mt Washington on 7/24/17. With all of this it was great to be able to hear it all as we broke out a new sound system that is powerful enough to be used both indoors and out for all of our events! Thanks,
