The Rochester Corvette Club has been continuously active since it was founded in 1959. We are among the oldest Corvette Clubs in the United States. A social club with over 950 members, we offer something for everyone. We are intensely passionate about our favorite automobile, the Chevrolet Corvette.
Have fun learning more about the Rochester Corvette Club.
What a fun year 2025 has turned out to be! Despite my health challenges, your 2025 Vice President, Dennis Whitmore, 2025 Secretary, Jennine Campana, and Co-Treasurer’s Glenn Burley and Krissy Gaebel along with all our Chairpersons have given us 3 exciting Signature Events (with the Holiday Party to come on December 13th) and 37 Events recorded on the RCC Web Site. The list of spontaneous events is too long to detail here.
In January, I outlined 5 club goals for 2025. Let’s see how we have done!
Improve Communications We re-established quarterly Newsletters under the hard work of Maddy Cuciti and sent monthly meeting agendas with the prior months meeting minutes for review before each general membership meeting. Great work by Mac Holder and Jennine Campana.
Work Closely with other Corvette Clubs We continued to support sponsor and other events by the other Corvette Clubs in the area.
Expand our uses of Technology We made the information available on the RCC Website more accessible to only Club Members, where appropriate. Meeting minutes were placed behind the Members Only firewall and General Club information was scrubbed to remove phishing opportunities. In addition, we enabled a new outward-facing email address that the Secretary monitors daily and the Board reviews every month that ensures timely responses to outsider questions and inquiries.
Implement the use of online payments On July 1st we implemented the policy that payments for all event and membership transactions would only be accepted through online payments via the RCC Website. No checks or cash will be accepted. So far for events this has worked well. As January approaches and the bulk of the club member renewals are due, please utilize the online payment during renewal.
Enjoy Signature Events and encourage new and fun events available to all Club members So far in 2025, we have returned to two previous venues (Eagle Vale and Wildwood) and ventured out into one new one (Chef’s). We will return in 2025 to RIT Inn & Conference Center for our annual Holiday Party on December 13th. We listened to the voice of the membership and were able to make the Summer Event a successful barbecue. Dennis Whitmore and Jennine Campana worked tirelessly pulling this event together. The trip to the Tonawanda Power Train Plant and the Fall Poker Run were among the many new activities that we are hoping to continue into 2026.
All in all, it has been a fun year for enjoying our favorite cars, our Corvettes. It is a little sad as we put them to bed for their long winter’s nap. We are encouraged because we know that in several months we will once again be able to enjoy them on the road.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to represent the Rochester Corvette Club as President for 2025. I am excited for the Club as we move into 2026 with Dennis Whitmore and Gary Bestehorn at the wheel.
